Happy Earth Day!
Here at Rockridge Manor, we have been doing our bit to reduce our environmental footprint. Since implementing our energy efficiency upgrade program last year we have saved approximately 36,000 kWh of electricity, avoiding 25.5 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the following;

RMHOA Seeking Active Board Members

Calling all Rockridge Manor Homeowners….. We are looking for proactive Homeowners interested in joining the Board of Directors to help improve Rockridge Manor.
If you are interested in joining, please submit a letter of Candidacy to the Association Office by Wednesday March 20th. Letter should provide a brief description of yourself including any relevant experience you may have, what’s important to you at Rockridge Manor and how you can help contribute to the Association as an active board member.
If you wish to know more about the roles and responsibilities, feel free to email us at rockridgemanorhoa@gmail.com.
New Laundry Machines
Our old washers and dryers will be removed from all buildings on August 14th with new washers and dryers being installed across all buildings on August 15th and 16th (possibly running into 17th).
Our new washers will be a more efficient and quieter Speed Queen model with a marginally larger capacity drum for greater wash loads. These new machines will be more efficient at extracting water from your clothes which means the dry time should be reduced. Subsequently we have reduced the standard dry time to 45 mins to avoid over-drying and help reduce associated energy costs.
New wash and dry rates will be $1.50 per cycle for wash (average wash time 30 mins) and $1.50 for dry (45 mins with every 25 cents thereafter providing additional 8 mins of dry time).
Washers and dryers will accept quarters or PayRange (same as current). For those currently experiencing issues with PayRange app, this is generally because of the poor cellular service in our buildings. The board will look into solutions to improve cellular service in the laundry rooms to mitigate this issue.
Spec sheets for the new washers can be found here;

Energy Audit (help needed…)

Dear Residents,
The board are working diligently to reduce our energy and water bills while simultaneously improving our environmental footprint. We are looking for residents willing to participate in an ‘energy audit’ as part of a PG&E rebate initiative (Multifamily Upgrade Program)
With enough participants, our buildings will qualify for PG&E utility rebates (free money) which will be used to fund several energy efficiency upgrades. Proposed upgrades include new high-efficiency water heaters, water conserving fixtures and LED lighting in common areas. This will help reduce our operational costs, curtail future HOA dues increases and improve our environmental footprint.
As part of the initiative, we will be offering free high-efficiency shower heads and low-flow faucet aerators to residents who participate in the energy audit. These can be installed free of charge by our maintenance team, upon request.
To participate in the energy audit, an external consultant (PG&E approved) will need to access your unit on a predefined date to undertake a brief survey. The survey will last about 5 minutes and will involve inspecting fixed lighting, checking the flow rate on existing shower heads and noting the serial number of the refrigerators and dishwashers. If you request free high efficiency showers and faucet aerators to be installed, this will need to be verified by the consultant after install. If you are not present at the time of the survey(s) but still wish to participate, you can authorize our maintenance team to escort the consultant through your unit.
To find out more about the incentive program, you can visit the PG&E Multi-Family Upgrade Program website.
If you would like to participate or to find out more please sign up below or contact the office. We appreciate your help in support of this pursuit to improve our buildings.
